- The Edmund Fitzgerald, a large tanker, was sunk in a storm on Lake Superior killing all on board. Investigative work by the firm found a previously unknown witness. The witness provided valuable
information about the ship's unseaworthiness. With this information, the firm settled claims on behalf of crew members' families.
- An 18-year-old Eagle Scout injured on a camping trip to the Black Hills was left a quadriplegic when the car in which he was riding crashed following a tire blowout. A large jury verdict was
returned against a tire manufacturer in one of the first cases exposing defects in one of its tires.
- A teen-age boy suffered catastrophic injuries in a train derailment caused by inadequate track maintenance. Our firm represented both the boy and his family. The case was successfully concluded
with one of the largest personal injury settlements in the country.
- A child sustained severe and permanent injuries during birth due to the negligence of a physician and hospital staff. Our firm secured a large structured settlement to provide for the child's
medical care and housing for life.
